I love the Pomodoro method, and I’m fully reliant on this app. I ended up purchasing it for both my ipad/iphone and my computer (OS X). However, the synching across the platforms could be smoother—for example, if you start 1 session on your iPad, and then switch over to your laptop, the partial works ession doesn’t transfer. So you can have two timers with different amounts of time in two places. Super frustrating and it messes with your overall numbers for the day. Other thing that could be improved is the ability to analyze the data. Right now that’s pretty weak…
It is easy to use and really helpful.
This application is very good. Mostly easy to use, works in the background seemlessly, and is very simple. I gave it 4 stars because there are still kinks to work out, and the UI could still be made a little more intuitive. Also, there is a ‘bug’ - the timer sometimes skips your 5min break automatically, and then other times it doesn’t, and yet other times it gives you a 30 min break even though you just started your set. If this issue was fixed I’d give it 5 :)
This app is ideal for those who always loose focus, or feel tired after long time studying. It efficiently allocate your energy and make you concentrate. A problem is that you have to purchase both ios and mac version if you want to use it on iPhone and Mac, but the functions are all the same. It’s a waste of money if youve already bought the ios version and buy this again.
This app does everything I need it to do, and I haven’t experienced any problems.
Overall, this is a good application. I use it to stay focus and track my time.
For time tracking, you just want to get in and get out. This app makes it easy to do that. It does everything I expected it to do with no fuss. Although this app’s focus is not on time tracking per se, I find it much more effective for that purpose than any other time tracker out there. Any adult with ADHD would probably benefit from using this app, in my opinion.
Synchronization was down for an extended period today. If that happens, then there is no point upgrading from the free version. Use iCloud sync like all the other apps. Also, signing up for an account pesters you to sign up for the email newsletter, which is annoying.
I paid money for this app, yet it just asked me for what seems like the thousandth time to rate it. Very annoying. It gets one star until it stops asking for stars.
Very effective tools. Simple and powerful. It really help you have a feeling of time lapsing. Recommend!
I’m my own boss and do a lot of work from home. This app really helps me power through my to do list. The 5 minute breaks fly by, and i try and get up and away from the computer for most of them. It syncs with my iphone as well, if you buy the Pro version.
This App is a great compliment to the Pomodoro technique. As I have studied formally the Pomodoro technique, it would be nice if Denys could incorporate a TIMETABLE feature as this is a main feature to a successful Pomodoro. As well extend the TO-DO feature with a “Unplanned & Urgent Activities” section to incorporate ideas or thoughts that come up during your Pomodoro. Thank you. P.S. Could you consider a discount or free iOS version for people who bought the $4.99 OSX version? Thanks Again.
Would give 5 stars if it had the option for custom sounds upon completion. Otherwise just what I needed.
It’s a decent app with room for some polish. I just sent this to the developer as an email: I have a few suggestions: 1) I suggested this previously, but it’s worth repeating: Get rid of the ugly PRO stamp on the paid version logo! 2) The setting to “Show timer in menu bar” should only show the timer when it’s running. When I’m not running a timer, just show the tomato icon. 3) Please add a volume control for the Chronometer sound. 4) Please add a black-and-white version of the menu bar icon. Some people like lots of colors in the menu bar. Some people don’t. 4a) Better yet... black/white icon when not being used; red or green when a timer is running. Yay visual feedback! 5) PLEASE do not use non-standard ways of making your app run at Startup. It should be added to the Login Items list that shows up in System Preferences in the Users & Groups pane.
A productivity app that pops up a distracting “RATE ME” dialog kills the usefulness. Please remove it.
It does what it says and I love the cross platform use of it!
If you’re like me, and work from home, this is one easy and cheap way to stay focused. No more dawdling over twitter, or jumping over to this website or that. Solid 25 minute chunks of work followed by little five minute breaks have made me MUCH more efficient. I bet I have shaved about a third off my task time. THANK YOU!
I am so happy I purchased this - the syncing is the best feather. Sometimes I work on my computer, other times by hand. This way I can easily keep track of my progress.
I like this app, since it help me focus on current task and remind me to take a rest before I got tired. Worth to have!
